n este ensayo, homenaje al eminente profesor Don Manuel Pedroso y su obra, el autor analiza las ideas clásicas del pensamiento aristotélico en relación a la política y sus elementos, las formas de gobierno y la teoría del Estado. En este trabajo se revaloran conceptos como democracia y Estado a la luz de las formas clásicas de gobierno en los albores de la ciencia política, bajo su debido contexto histórico y filosófico. De este modo se adquieren visiones distintas de las instituciones jurídicas, éticas y políticas partiendo de justificaciones racionales. Finalmente, se reflexiona sobre el Estado ideal para Aristóteles y sus leyes.

n this essay, a tribute to eminent professor Don Manuel Pedroso and his work, the author analyzes the classical ideas of Aristotelian thought regarding to politics and its elements, forms of government and theory of the State. This paper revalues concepts such as democracy and State through the classical forms of government at the dawn of political science, under its appropriate historical and philosophical context. Thus, different views of the legal, ethical and political institutions are acquired, based on rational justifications. Finally, reflections are made on the ideal State for Aristotle and its laws.
